Rule 1: I must follow my rules.

Rule 2: I will never risk more than 3% of my total portfolio on any one stock trade.

There are many old traders. There are many bold traders. But there are never any old bold traders. Protecting your capital base is fundamental to successful stock market trading over time.

Rule 3: I will cut my losses at 5% to 15% when I am wrong without question.

Some traders have an even lower tolerance for loss. The key point here is to have set points (stop loss) within the limits of your tolerance for loss. Stay informed about the performance of you stock and stick to your stop loss point.

Toyota is not the manufacturer that it used to be. Lots of problems in recent years.

There was the recent problem of engine sludge in some models. This problem even extended into their flagship Lexus brand. Toyota initially blamed the owners for not keeping up with their oil changes. However there were too many early engine failures from excessive sludge for these to be isolated incidents of owners not changing their oil. It took a class action lawsuit to finally get Toyota to admit to their design flaw. Not very good customer care here.

Then there was the problem with excessive frame rust in the Tacoma trucks. Another class action lawsuit. Toyota quietly bought up many of the effected trucks and had them crushed.

Then there is the severe frame flex problems with the Tundra trucks. I have a friend who bought one to pull his fifth wheel travel trailer. This truck should have had enough towing capacity for this trailer. He noticed that the truck would not hold an alignment. He later found that the frame of this truck was permanently tweaked (bent).

The Tundra trucks also suffer from severe frame rust. Toyota recently sent a letter to the owners of these trucks to remove the spare tire. Seems the frames are rusting so badly that the spare tire can fall off. This has caused some accidents.

So I am not surprised they have this most recent rash of problems. Not they are blaming a sub-contractor. However I would bet money that this sub-contractor is building these parts exactly to Toyota specifications. Most likely a design flaw, not a quality issue.

I am confident that Toyota will get this most recent issue with the accelerator pedal fixed very quickly. To much money involved in lost sales and image for them not to.

However, with their recent track record, you got to wonder what design flaw related recall will come next.

Toyota is not the brand they appear to be. Just good marketing. I would take my Chevy over a Toyota any day.

Kemarin dapat email dari seorang rekan yang bertemu dengan salah seorang blogger juga trader yang memprediksi pergerakan IHSG pada bulan November 2009 ini akan jatuh sebagai akibat dari efek sub prime mortgage, juga ditanda dengan naiknya masalah kartu kredit di Amerika sana.

Secara tehnikal, seorang peternak kambing dan juga seorang trader menyatakan dalam chartnya bahwa fase saat ini IHSG akan naik hingga 2500 dan akan membentuk pola triple top dan akan turun hingga 2250an. Jika tembus sangat mungkin IHSG akan terjun ke bottom sebelumnya yaitu 1200an. Wah.. serem kan... Tapi di sisi lain ruang untuk para trader untuk bisa ambil barang dari bawah.

Saya pribadi masih trading menikmati kenaikan IHSG hingga 2500an setelah itu (mungkin akhir minggu ini) harus waspada karena pembentukan pola triple top diatas. Secara indicator Moving Average... akan terjadi super duper Golden Cross (MA 5, MA 30 dan MA 60) berpotongan pada satu titik sama.

Dibantu dengan AFL nya amibroker yang dinamakan volume break setiap malam saya suka mencari Volume Break Stock. Saham-saham ini menjadi watch list untuk trading di saham gorengan yang sangat banyak kolesterolnya. Bersyukur selama ini masih bisa lolos, meskipun pernah kali ke getok di saham ini.

Trading dalam minggu ini watch listnya adalah HADE yang sudah bangun tidur dengan candlesticknya yang sexy didukung dengan volume yang membentuk trend naik. Acuan trading hari ini adalah resiten by pivot dengan R1 = 106, R2 = 116 dan R3 = 130 dengan closing price di 118.

Besok masih ada chance untuk terbang tinggi mengikuti TRAM yang sempat saya koleksi dari 104. Dari sisi volume masih sangat mendukung karena membentuk trend naik secara teratur. Setelah beberapa lama menunggu dorongan volume yang cukup besar untuk membawa DEWA keatas akhirnya terjadi juga pada hari ini. DEWA ditutup pada harga 245. Ternyata beberapa transaksi trading saya mulai menemui polanya secara perlahan. Maklum ini merupakan bagian dari belajar trading saham di pasar modal.

Seperti semboyan yang tertulis di blog ini, dalam dunia trading tidak hanya sekedar mengetahui dan memahami saja tool-tool trading, namun hal yang paling besar mempengaruhi adalah emosi dan hawa nafsu serakah. Jadi harus pandai mengelola hawa nafsu yang satu ini mengingat rasa takut dan serakah sangat tipis bedanya.

Hawa nafsu bukanlah sekedar seks, yang terasang menonton film bugil, cerah melihat foto syur artis yang sexy atau foto gadis yang mepertontonkan dadanya yang sexy untuk sebuah bayaran sebesar 97 juta. Lebih dari itu.. pikiran yang liar dalam kepala kita bisa menimbulkan asosiasi hawa nafsu yang berlebih.

Balik lagi ke topik ah..., jadi untuk trading perlu persiapan mental yang kuat dan tentunya trading plan yang akan diesksekusi.

Saham Tambang Siap Terbang

Setelah tadi siang indeks ditutup pada level 1998 naik sekitar 4.3 % dan malam ini Dow berada pada zona hijau dengan kenaikan yang cukup besar yaitu sekitar 2%an, kemungkinan besok IHSG masih hijau. Dengan pivot point IHSG memiliki resistance pada 2025.

Saham apa saja kah yang akan ikut terbang bersama IHSG...? Dengan latar belakang kenaikan harga minyak dunia maka saham-saham tambang, batu bara dan komoditi akan ikut naik juga.

Kemarin saya berhasil mempertahankan TRAM (Trada Maritim) dengan penuh kesabaran karena dalam seminggu hampir tidak ada pergerakan yang signifikan. Namun, per hari ini TRAM tidak disangka bisa terbang juga dengan kenaikan tertinggi sekitar 34%. Where You should invest with this gain..? :)

Untuk besok saya mempersiapkan trading plan untuk saham gorengan di CPRO dengan pertimbangan volumen yang membentuk trend naik dalam jangka pendek dan stochasticnya yang masih jauh dari area overbought.

saat ini banyak sekali software trading yang dapat digunakan baik itu untuk trading di saham maupun forex. Tools charting untuk analisa ada beberapa diantaranya Chart Nexus, Metastock, Fibotrader, Metatrader dan Amibroker. Saya pribadi baru mencoba satu saja yaitu Amibroker dan langsung jatuh cinta karena toolsnya cukup powerfull khususnya untuk saya sebagai pemula.

Tools yang saya sukai karena ada bar replay yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat belajar menganalisa sebuah pergerakan saham. Jadi pergerakan harga masa lalu bisa diputar ulang (makanya namanya Bar Replay). Data yang digunakan bisa dari Yahoo Finance atau bisa juga data dari BEI itu sendiri.

MNCN Volume GO UP

Belakangan ini saya mulai merubah cara menganalisa untuk keperluan trading. Analisanya sederhana saja yaitu hanya bermodalkan chart amibroker dengan AFL Volume Break. Setiap malam saya mencoba mencari saham-saham yang memiliki perbandingan volume transaksinya lebih besar dari 2 kali rata-rata volume transaksi 3 hari terakhir.

Minggu lalu berawal dari informasi seorang rekan tentang BKSL saya sempat menjadi tukang copet beli di 108 jual di 115.. buru-buru keluar karena trading pakai credit limit ada kekhawatiran nyangkut. Ternyata BKSL ditutup di harga 130an. Nyesel....? Ga juga.. karena bisa cuan dari utangan hehehe.

Dari sana saya belajar bagaimana volume mendrive sebuah harga, walaupun sebenarnya teori ini sudah usang. Tapi kadang orang menganggap teori baru lebih tokcer apalagi software baru yang menawarkan kemudahan cuan dalam transaksi saham. Ah.. saya lebih suka dengan yang usang-usang tapi bisa cuan. Kalau kata guru yang beraliran fundamental.. selama LU cuan.. LU benar tidak peduli dengan metode apapun.

Jadi.. kunci saya di volume transaksi kemudian dilengkapi dengan stochastic, bolinger band dan zig zag indicator. Tapi yang terpenting bagi saya memutuskan untuk beli adalah volume dan stochastic. Kalau sahamnya memiliki volatilitas yang tinggi lebih sedap lagi.. *ini hanya cocok untuk yang home trader kalau untuk saya tidak cocok - ngerti kan maksudnya hehehe* meskipun kadang-kadang nekad untuk sekedar mencari CUAN 50.000 / hari.

Nah.. analisa Volume kali ini jatuh pada MNCN yang volatilitasnya cukup tinggi. Siapa berani trading besok pagi ambil posisi beli..? Ini chartnya ala saya yang HB (Hajar Bleh).

Kalau cuan jangan lupa beliin kado cincin buat pacar atau istrinya ya...hehehehe. Kalau buntung tanggung sendiri. :)

Selain itu, komentar BI bahwa inflasi tahunan Juni bisa mencapai 5%), potensi kenaikan harga minyak menjelang OPEC Meeting (28/05), pertemuan sekitar 3,000 pelaku bisnis dari Guandong, China di Jakarta akhir pekan lalu, diikuti kondisi teknikal yang uptrend (candle weekly & hitungan Elliot Wave), seharusnya masih memberikan support untuk kenaikan IHSG.

Step by Step to Activate Your Amibroker

One of my friend ask me how to activate amibroker, one of trading software. This step is to show step by step to activate your amibroker software using crack. Here it is :

Unzip / Extract broker.zip file. There are two files and put them in the amibroker folder. You may remind by system that It would overwrite the previous files. Just click Yes.
Click broker.exe to open Amibroker. Then create new database as local database to store your data which is able tobe downloaded from yahoo finance.
Create New Database. Just replace the word under blue line with your new database name. Then Click Create. After that choose your data source as local database then click OK to finish.
Before download data from yahoo finance. Just download this file (368 BEI Tickers.doc). Don't forget after you download that file, change the extension DOC -> TLS. So Your file name will be "368 BEI Tickers.tls" . Put that file in amiquote folder (Program file -> Amibroker -> Amiquotes).
Now.. you can download for your database by double click that file. You can also download from pull down menu in amibroker software. Tools -> Auto -Update (Amiqoutes Only)

This afternoon, my mobile was ringing. It was my friend gave me a news about volume break stock. It must be "saham gorengan" hehehe... Sometimes this kind of stock is delicious, just if we know their behavior. :)

Using one of Amibroker Formula Language in amibroker, I tried to search what stock was breaking volume as reference to day trade next week, at least on monday. I found some stocks was breaking volume. Two of them are ADRO and BKSL (Bukit Sentul). Check them out on this figure below.

Pasca pendaftaran capres-cawapres, Indonesia akan kembali menikmati riuhnya kampanye.

Faktor-faktor lain yang akan dicermati investor masih berkisar pada result 1Q09, rencana pembagian dividen. Sementara penurunan BI Rate dan suku bunga tampaknya tidak segera diikuti oleh penurunan bunga bank. Diduga perbankan baru akan menurunkan suku bunganya mulai bulan Juni pasca pemilihan preisden. Penurunan bunga bank berdampak positif
bagi sektor properti dan otomotif. Selain saham pertambangan (terutama sektor energi), perkebunan, layak dicermati saham sektor infrastruktur karena berpotensi tumbuh sehubungan dengan paket stimulus pemerintah di sektor ini. Bahkan DPR menyatakan agar stimulus tahap II memprioritaskan infrastruktur. Di sisi lain, ada kekhawatiran bahwa sektor ini pula yang berpotensi memunculkan kredit macet di masa mendatang.

Namun saat ini saham perbankan diduga akan mengikuti sentimen positif di bursa Wall Street. Hasil stress test 19 bank di AS yang menunjukkan hanya 10 bank yang memerlukan tambahan modal USD 74,6 miliar telah menekan kekhawatiran investor. Jika penguatan saham BBNI berlanjut dan mencapai 2000, maka rencana pemerintah untuk melakukan secondary offering dapat terealisasi. Sementara saham dari grup Bakrie diperkirakan masih akan menjadi ajang spekulasi investor. Apabila Golkar bersikukuh mengajukan JK sebagai capres dan berhasil memenangkan pemilihan presiden, maka bukan tidak mungkin saham-saham dari grup Bakrie
melanjutkan apresiasinya. Hal itu lebih karena dikaitkannya keberadaan Aburizal Bakrie di dalam partai Golkar. Belum lagi jika muncul spekulasi dilakukan bursa pemilihan Ketua Umum Golkar untuk menggantikan JK. Kemungkinan-kemungkinan itu masih terbuka dan menjadi sangat spekulatif.

Rally indeks berpotensi kontinu (resistance 1908), tetapi rawan profit taking, dimana ihsg sendiri telah overbought. Pernyataan pemerintah bahwa baru akan melepas saham-saham BUMN ke publik (IPO) jika indeks mencapai level 2000, bisa jadi memicu kenaikan indeks. Ditambah sejumlah broker asing meng-upgrade Indonesia menjadi Overweight.
Sementara Asian Develpment Bank (ADB) dalam konferensi di Bali mengharapkan pertumbuhan ekonomi Asia Pacific pada 2010 tumbuh 6%. Hal itu menandakan adanya optimisme. Potensi technical correction pada saham-saham unggulan diperkirakan akan digantikan oleh saham lapis kedua dan ketiga, sehingga indeks kemudian berkonsolidasi.

It is said that no matter market in uptrend or downtrend, a trader can benefit in any market trend since this investment type is so flexible. It is the reason why I choose this type of investment. Yes.. in stock market. In uptrend I can take a buy position while in downtrend I can take sell position, moreover for some stocks facilitated by short sell terms, where I can sell stock even I don't have that stock itself. But it is full of risk and need a high profile of money and emotion management as trading strategy

Next Monday is time to define index will go up for rally to achieve the highest price since November 2008 or make a healthy correction before continue its uptrend. In this situation, I have to make trading plan & strategy and consistent to trade the plan or emotion will lead me.

What Fibonachi Say About "ELTY" TODAY...?

Yesterday is Monday when I trade my plan to be scalper on ELTY. I know IHSG is in overbought area and most of stock also but.... market can't stand to stay on 1800 in Friday so it continued in Monday.

I was happy that I could put my position for ELTY at 215 and scalp for 6% in several hours. I know it is not a big achievement, but it is worthful when I can trade my plan .

Let me show you what Chart say about ELTY yesterday.. Yes.. Fibonachi 61.8% is always strong resistance but when price goes up it can be strong support. Check the volume...!!!

Pergerakan Harga Indeks Mei 2009

Satu minggu yang lalu saya memantau pergerakan harga saham TRAM dan HEXA. Dan terjadi pada HEXA dimana fase akumulasi yang dilakukan pada saham HEXA telah berakhir dan mulai bergerak naik.

Selanjutnya sebagai acuan dasar pergerakan yang biasanya menjadi acuan para bandar-bandar besar atau Market Mover. Berikut ini adalah gambaran Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan ala HB dalam sebuah chart yang sederhana dari pergerakan Indeks yang minggu ini saya perkirakan berhenti hingga 1800an (Closing Gap). Caddy Untuk Swing Trader

Caddy.... suatu profesi yang tengah menjadi perhatian khalayak ramai terkait dengan penangkapan Mr. KPK, Antasari Azhar yang diduga menjadi dalang pembunuhan Nasrudin dengan latar belakang cinta segitiga dan pemerasan. Wah.. kok blog ini jadi ngaco sih.. malah bicarain kasusnya Antasari Azhar dan hubungannya dengan caddy bernama Rani Juliani.

Ya.. sepertinya memang lagi latah nih.... dari pada stress trading mulu.... hehehe. Gosip dulu deh..!!!

Caddy bernama Rani Juliani bukan caddy yang sembarangan. Rani Juliani pernah tercatat sebagai mahasiswi disalah satu kampus ternama dan pernah menjadi freelance caddy disebuah lapangan golf di modern land. Nama Rani Juliani menjadi sangat terkenal di search engine dan blog Rani Juliani yang semula sepi seperti kuburan tiba-tiba ramai dikunjungi layaknya pasar malam padahal hanya ada 2 postingan saja karena antusiasnya masyarakat untuk mengetahui siapa Rani Juliani.

Ketika saya berkunjung ke blognya Rani Juliani sangat banyak komentar yang masuk dari yang positif hingga yang negatif yang ditujukan kepada Caddy Rani Juliani bahkan ada yang sekedar beriklan dan berjualan. Komentar sudah mencapai 600 (postingan pertama) dan 800 (postingan kedua). Hanya dua postingan saja sih...

Tapi yang menarik dari isi blog Rani Juliani adalah, kalau orang tuanya juga berkunjung ke blognya, maka mereka berdua jadi mengetahui karena akhirnya rani juliani tidak jadi anak bontot karena kedoyanan orang tuanya.. Tebak sendiri deh. doyan apa.. hehehehe. Dan dari sini sepintas saja anda bisa menilai siapa dan bagaimana Rani Juliani dari apa yang di expresikan dalam blognya, baik postingan pertama, kedua atau pun catatan yang ada dalam profilenya.

Belajar dari kasus diatas, meskipun bisa dibilang terlalu dini, saya berasumsi profesi caddy cukup menggoda para swinger, istilah saya untuk pemain golf yang suka ber-swing swing ria. Mereka yang freeelance dan masih mahasiswa pastinya cantik-cantik, tentunya ini karena perusahaan yang ingin mempekerjakannya melakukan seleksi bagaimana tetap menjaga para swingernya tetap bermain ditempat yang sama atau bahkan bisa merekomendasikan kepada rekannya untuk bermain di tempatnya bermain.

Tapi selama ini sudah hampir 2 tahun saya menjadi "swinger" tidak pernah merasa tergoda dengan caddy-caddy. Mungkin itu karena saya seorang Swing Trader ya hahahaha... yang jadi caddy adalah chart-chart yang membuat saya bisa berada diatas gelombang bahkan telentang jatuh terjerambab layaknya Antasari Azhar karena lupa diri dan keluarga.

Maaf tulisan ini hanya expresi seorang swing trader yang selalu menanti caddy caddy yang akan membawa saya selalu berada diatas gelombang pergerakan harga saham yang selalu naik dan turun.

Stock Market Trading Methodology

Any discussion about Trading Methodology in a forum. It is said :

"I found from couple of months trading is that mechanical systems do not fit my personality very well. I like the objectivity of mechanical system, but I feel that mechanical systems takes me away from the market psychology. If I stare at a naked chart long enough, I will see fear, greed, overconfidence, defeat, etc. in the chart. Try it, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Market psychology is so evident on the chart is almost scary. And I feel that indicators, especially on chart indicators takes you away from this very important information.

So I decided to go with candlestick charting. I finally admit that price action is definitely the most powerful trading method. If you have been with James16 group, you know that it's effective. Candlesticks is the same exact thing except it's visually clear. I've actually have read about candlesticks before, but since I was a newbie, price action was a little bit too subjective for me.

So I have made a transition from purely mechanical to semi mechanical. Price action is not 100% subjective. If I practice it long enough, it will become easy for me."

Hari ini indeks bergerak dengan yakinnya diiringi dengan penguatan rupiah dan tidak terpengaruh dengan isu flu babi yang merebak di sebagian negara bagian amerika.

Sesuai dengan analisa ala HB di postingan sebelumnya tentang HEXA (Hexindo Adiperkasa) yang siap-siap akan kontraksi, terjadi hari ini dan TRAM (Trada Maritim) masih malu-malu kucing. Kalau lihat pola sebelumnya memang TRAM agak terlambat bereaksi terhadap kenaikan Indeks. Nah.. besok, Juma't 1 Mei 2009 merupakan hari dibukanya transaksi marjin oleh BEI dan ini dapat meningkatkan likuiditas pasar.
